Videos and Media

The Choir have been filmed on a number of occasions during concerts, both by our own members and by professionals. A selection of these can be viewed below.

Here are some seasonal favourites.

Ding Dong Merrily on High – from our Christmas repotoire, sung in East Cowes in 2009

Jesus Child – a Rutter Christmas favourite from the same concert

Why Not Buy An Extra Present? – an unusual Christmas song, with an important message. This was filmed at East Cowes Town Hall in 2011.

Motown Concert 2012 – filmed at our concert in July, admittedly on a simple stills camera, but the clips give a good account of the sound from the Choir and the energy of the performance.

Hannah Brear and Cyrus Dean singing Sail On:

The Choir enjoying being part of our encore of All Night Long:

A medley of several of the songs:

The Circle of Life – performed in the Breton village of Pleordut on our 2010 tour of Brittany

Super Trouper – sung at Newport Minster as part of the Music at the Minster concert in 2010

Isle of Wight Festival 2010 – the Choir performing on the main stage of the Festival, backing Melanie Safka

This is not strictly the Choir, instead our Musical Director, Hannah Brear, singing Barcarolle from the Tales of Hoffman with Lesley Garrett at the Isle of Arts Festival, Ventnor in 2011.

  1. It was great to work with The Isle of Wight Community Choir on the Jubilee Tribute and The Band of the Royal Marines (The Royal Band) recording session last Sunday. The girls from St Catherine’s School Choir thouroughly enjoyed the experience under the expert leadership of Hannah. We hope to come to one of your concerts later in the year.
    All the very best
